Buhari and his Vice humiliated in N'Delta as traditional rulers walk out in anger
REPORTS coming to our news desk say the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, was yesterday humiliated in Warri Delta State where he had gone to hold talks with Niger Delta leaders on the need to allow peace reign in the region.
Buhari while speaking through his Vice, Osinbajo appealed to the Niger Delta traditional rulers to talk to the militants admitting the fact that the region has suffered dearth of infrastructures for too long and restated his readiness to start developing the region.
Hardly had he finished speaking than booing and jeering emerged from the hall with many traditional rulers walking out in a temper.
Reasons tendered, according to reports, were not unconnected with the militarization of the region and the gross human rights abuses by the Nigerian Army of the civil populace in the oil-rich region under the guise of hunting the militants.
