Conflicting reports on Buhari's return; Femi Adesina says President awaiting results of medical tests, Lai Mohammed says otherwise

ALL appears not to be well with the President of the most populous nation in Africa as conflicting reports keep emerging from the Federal Government on his anticipated return to Nigeria after his annual vacation abroad.

Earlier today, the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed said the President can not return to the country for now after the initial reports that he would return to the country tomorrow on completion of his vacation in the UK.
Lai Mohammed in his tweeter handle said the presidential jetliner is undergoing routine maintenance and said Buhari not likely to return to the country tomorrow as scheduled.

Only a while ago another statement emerged from Buhari's spokesperson, Femi Adeshina that Buhari would not return to the country for now and wrote a letter to the National Assembly.

Reason cited is he had to unavoidably stay back to enable him collect the results of the tests conducted on him by his doctors.

Below is the copy of the statement from the Presidency issued by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media emailed to our newsroom here in the French capital of Paris.

''The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening, but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives.

Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes.

Earlier, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has written in his official tweeter handle that President Buhari can not return to Nigeria tomorrow as the Presidential jet is undergoing routine maintenance:
