Shia students protest in Kano, demand Zakzaky's release
It was all a scene of pandemonium as Shia students stormed the Human Rights Commission in Kano to demand the release of the detained Shiite leader Zakzaky and students remanded in prison in the desert city of Kano.
The protesters were captured chanting and carrying placards with the inscription “Zakzaky is in our hearts”.
“We will keep on protesting until our leader is set free”-protesting students at NHRC Kano say as they all chanted free Zakzaky and remanded students”.
Recall the Shia leader was arrested and detained along with his wife sometimes in 2015 following a clash with the convoy of the chief of army staff.
