Read Buhari's purported resumption letter to the National Assembly
Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, March 13th reportedly sent a letter to the National Assembly to formally inform the Nigerian parliament of his return to the country and intention to resume full duties by taking over from Osinbajo as the President.
Below is a copy of the letter which is possession of Daily Globe Watch.
The letter reads:
“In compliance with section 145 of the 1999 constitution (as amended), the president has formally transmitted letters to the senate and the house of representatives, intimating the national assembly ‘that I have resumed my functions as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.”
