Osinbajo reportedly asked to remain as Acting President

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is to remain Nigeria's President, President  Muhammadu Buhari has declared on return from the UK after a long medical vacation.
Buhari who arrived the country on Friday says his vice will remain in that acting capacity until he is strong enough to resume duties as president.

Meanwhile, the ruling All Progressives Congress has said that the president has returned to the country with a renewed capacity and vigour to fix the nation's problems.

According to him, “I deliberately came back towards the weekend so that the vice-president will continue and I will continue to rest. Thank you very much,” he said.

President Buhari also expressed profound thanks and gratitude to all those who helped him with prayers while away in the UK. Shortly after his arrival, he met with top government officials at the first lady conference room of the presidential villa in Abuja.
