Update Of Four IPOB's Defendants On The Fresh Bail applications Hearing Begins Today

Our beloved brothers who were unlawfully incarcerated in Kuje Prison for not less than two years without trial, Mazi Benjamin Mmadubugwu, Bright Chimezie, David Nwawuisi and Chidiebere Onwudiwe have arrived the Federal High Court, Abuja. Hearing for the fresh Bail applications for the four defendants begins today.

As at 12:02 pm, our case has not yet commenced due to other cases earlier attended to in the court.

The judges are presently taking their exit from the court room for some minutes break. While we patiently await commencement of proceedings, I wish to bring to the notice of the general public, that Barrister Labaran Shaibu, the prosecuting counsel is yet to be sighted anywhere within the court premises. We are hopefully praying that his probable absence will not truncate today's proceedings.

We are appealing to our family members, friends and well wishers to remain calm as we bring more information your way.

The case of the surety that involves Senator Ennyinna Abaribe for MAZI NNAMDI KANU is hereby adjourned till 26th June 2018.
