NIGERIA, A DISASTROUS PLACE FOR ANY HUMAN
The equator is an imaginary line that divides the earth
into two equal halves called North and south hemispheres. This equator passed
through Africa with Nigeria just some few latitudes northward.
Now we know that the revolution of the earth round the
sun brings variance to our corresponding climates or seasons as we call it
here.
Because of this nearness to the equator, we have a very
BALANCED tropical climate or season and a balanced and stable earth core. We
experience the rainy season within its time, say from April to October and also
the dry season and harmattan from October through May. Because of a balanced
earth core, we hardly experience earthquakes and landslides or river-like
volcanic eruptions.
God kept us in a perfect habitat where we are not
troubled by natural disasters but by human disasters. This is the twist, Africa
is blessed with natural resources but cursed with human resources while
developed continents are cursed with natural disasters like hurricane,
earthquakes, while blessed with human resources.
In Nigeria, citizens have died in the hand of the
government more than in any natural disaster or road accidents. The Nigerian
government kills more than natural disasters. All these killings are to keep
the country one according to them. Over 6 million Biafrans murdered from 1967
till 1970 because of oil (natural resource). The police have killed more
citizens in accidental discharge than they have intercepted robberies and killed
robbers. They have shot more motorists for the sake of 50naira more than they
have intercepted bandits with guns on the highway.
On September 14, 2017, the Nigerian Army rolled out
several fleets of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC), the type that hasn't been
used in Sambisa forest, several troops and platoons, bearing sundry firearms
marched the soils of Biafra land war-esque. They had come to keep Nigeria one
by force and by death. The owners and beneficiaries of the venture sent their
dogs to come destroy the people who are asking questions.
They did succeed, many Biafrans were made to abide in the
most insalubrious waters at gunpoint while the base of their guns was used to
pound their heads into conformity. Boys were stripped as the northern soldiers
marched on their skull while cursing in Hausa language, some were taken to the
bush, shot without even a shallow grave. The clothes housing their skeletons
were later discovered almost a year later.
While these were happening, Afaraukwu Ibeku was encompassed
with many soldiers and armoured tanks, bullets covered the sky such that one
would think rain was nigh. They came to kill Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they came to
kill him and his entire family. Everything that moved was pelted, even a dog
was severally shot. The fence had multiple holes and so also was the building.
The house was looted of all its artefacts and valuables, yes, our force men are
legal bandits.
Since that incident, we have not known or heard of the
whereabout of the Afaraukwu Prince and his parents.
It is respect-worthy, that we obey the call, to observe
the 14th of September as a general strike day and sit-at-home. We must honour
the slain, we must honour the brave. We must remember those who paid the
ultimate sacrifice, they died so that we may be free from this country of human
disaster where the only natural disaster we have are the army and police force.
WE REMEMBER!
