THE TRAGEDY OF THE RAPPED BEING FORCED TO LIVE WITH THE RAPIST

Nigeria is a country artificially created by a man called Fredrick L. Lugard. On the 1st January 1914 southern protectorate was forcefully amalgamated with the northern protectorate given birth to what is known today as Nigeria. Prior before the amalgamation. Fredrick L. Lugard perhaps had discussed this ugly issue in the British parliament severally, one of which he was reported as saying that the amalgamation of northern protectorate with south is equivalent to, as mixing oil and water which scientifically is impossible; oil and water cannot mix.

But for the economic reason, benefits and the survival of British government the ugly experiment was carried out regardless of the future implications. The overwhelmingly rich South was forcefully given into marriage with the poor arid north.

Since then till date the children of the south have been at the ugly receiving end, apart from the state sponsored killings that has been going on in Nigeria against the south, Biafra which is the eastern part of the contraption called Nigeria has been suffering from all kinds of rape, injustices, killings, marginalisation etc from the so-called government of Nigeria. Spilling of Biafrans blood and total vandalization of their shops and properties are the only acceptable way of settlement of misunderstanding between two northern brothers with government backing them.

It was based on this and many other facts and realities that Biafrans sought for freedom and their own sovereignty in 1967 when hundreds of thousands of Biafrans were slaughtered in the streets of the north. But instead of the federal government to find a lasting solution for the problems they relegated themselves as willing tools for the predatory and lazy Britain and carried out genocidal war against Biafrans where they further slaughtered over six million Biafrans, rapped our women and girls, starved to death our children and aged ones.

The worst form of rape was melted on Biafrans after the unpopular declaration of no victor no vanquished in 1970 by Gen. Yakubu Gowon, all sorts of policies were introduced by the occupational federal government of Nigeria against Biafrans. Our hard-earned properties were declared abandoned properties, our bank accounts were seized by the government, given us only twenty pounds irrespective of the amount you have in your bank accounts; indigenization policy was also adopted to further impoverish and strangulate Biafrans economically.

The 3Rs that was introduced by Gen. Yakubu Gowon and his federal government which would have brought succour and total integration for the people of Biafra into Nigeria was abandoned in the East and diverted by the same federal government to build national theatre and national airport etc in Lagos and leaving Biafrans to lick their wounds as conquered people which proved that Gowon's declaration of no victor no vanquished was political and lie from the pit of hell.

Biafrans were not only rapped but were robbed politically, economically, psychologically, religiously, emotionally, academically and in infrastructure. Nigeria is of no benefit for the people of Biafra, rather it is a total misfortune, injustice and rape for the people. The worst form of injustice and wickedness the world has ever allowed on this mother earth is to allow the rapped (Biafra) to be forcefully living with the rapist (Nigeria). It is in the light of this that we Biafrans are appealing to the world leaders, UN, EU, AU, ECOWAS and other world bodies to live up to their responsibilities by compelling the occupational government of Nigeria to give Biafrans date for their referendum as this is the only way that will bring long anticipated peace in Nigeria.

Marriage is by consent and not by force. Whenever marriage is no longer working, the doctrine of divorce has to be applied to avoid the worst from happening. This is not only biblical but natural. The Bible says in the book Amos 3:3, that two cannot work together unless they agreed.  Nigeria is not working and it can never work as centre can no longer hold. As a matter of justice and fair play, Biafra should be allowed to exit in peace as we have paid enough price.

It is based on this fact that this present generation of Biafrans have resolved to restore Biafra at all cost, and we want to reiterate that there will be no election in Biafra land come 2019 as the people of the eastern region, who are Biafrans, have decided never to go to the poll again until Biafra question is resolved once and for all.

We therefore warn all the politicians especially those from Biafra extraction to support Biafra upcoming referendum, and suspend their political ambition for now until Biafra is restored as Biafrans will be boycotting 2019 elections in Biafra land until justice is done.
