THE ELITE REVOLUTION
I remember 2012 December petroleum subsidy and the
resultant "occupy Nigeria" what happened then wasn't a revolution but
a political elite revolution.
Till now, many people regret being used to stall that, Flavour
the musician even sang about it.
What is presently happening to subsidy? They said they
have removed it while spiritually it is still there. Recall that the political
elites who kicked and occupied because of it are still the same people who
having won the 2015 elections claim to have removed it.
This is the effect of political elite revolutions. They
use it for their dirty games. This is the perfect time they remember "rule
of law" that is the time they go out on the streets to carry out paid
protests. If you ain't smart, you will think that actually things are changing,
but alas that is never the case. They eventually get in to do worse than they
once protested for while not in power.
But, the Shia supremo is still extrajudicially
incarcerated, Dasuki is still there, several innocent lives have been wasted
while armedless and harmlessly protesting. While these were happening, what did
the senate do? What did the NBA do? Didn't they know that all these were coming
from the presidency? Why are they all now worked up?
You see people shouting here and there, you see most PDP
politicians shouting and crying now, why didn't they start conditioning the
despot from Elzacky and Dasuki and numerous people who were needlessly murdered
for simple protests? You can now see that Jubril is even worse than the late Buhari.
Why didn't the NBA shutdown that time? What of the courts? Were they not
supposed to shut down? Why is this CJN issue shaking and quaking everywhere?
It is an elite revolution because some people want power.
Don't think this has to do with doing away with the evil constitution or
politicians repenting to stop being masterful. They need something, and they
need it urgently.
