OGONI CRISIS: OVER 400 KILLED IN OGONI CURRENT CRISIS - CULT CLASH AND POSSIBLE INVASION OF FULANI HERDSMEN

0

I have closely observed the social media space for a while now and to be honest, I am yet to see people talking about the killings going on in Ogoni land. Are we aware that Ogoni is part of Biafra? And also, a Christian dominated region as declared by Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike?

Remember ever since it was reported that Wike demolished a mosque in Trans Amadi Area Port Harcourt, there has been so much anger from some Muslim faithfuls? Asari Dokubo ranting like a drunk frog, Ganduje etc? Have we ever thought that these killings might be carried out by Fulani Herdsmen? On 15th August, 2019, according to MOSOP, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Sunny Zorvah, said: “We received with sad reports of the sudden emergence of violence and killings carried out by members of some cult groups in some Ogoni communities.

They said it was a cult clash according to MOSSOP but how factual is the report? How can gunmen invade Taaba and Okwale communities, Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, killing nine persons and razing several properties. Still went ahead to destroy the palace of the traditional ruler of Kaaba, Chief Nule (Jnr.) and home of Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People, MOSOP, factional President, Legborsi Pyagbara, which was razed in Nyokuru community.

Same gunmen raided Okwali community shooting sporadically and at their targets. “They killed about five people and also burnt many houses. They also attacked Taaba, a neighbouring community to Okwali, shooting and killing about four persons too.” This is definitely not how gunmen operates if you ask me. Having seen the modus operandi of Fulani Herdsmen, don't you think this might be the arrival of the Gambari in Ogoni land and how they are chasing those of some hardcore Biafrans that wants to say the truth about the attack and their tricks.

Federal government/Shell seriously behind it? Using Ogoni neighbours, Okrika and Andoni using our supposed Ogoni brothers who are disgruntled, demented occultic elements in our midst to perfect the fear, carnage, killings, massacre, torching and burning of properties and finally sacking of communities rendering residents and indigenes as refugees including helpless community Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders and recognized political leaders who are their major targets to either kill or send on compulsory exile.

The aim is declared by Jubril-Buhari himself. The re-entry of Ogoni land for the purpose of oil exploration and production in the OML 11 that produces the sweet crude oil called Bonny Light. It is easy to refine, has more components and therefore more expensive which is common knowledge. It is more costlier than the alternative Brent crude. The latter is in more abundance elsewhere in other Niger Delta fields and cheaper.

According to an information I received from an anonymous source, they have contracted the dreaded Ateke Tom who killed Okrikans until they made him King of Okochiri. He now boasts of imposing Leaders on Ogoni people, a refusal for Ogonis must die as he intends to be the war lord the federal government and Shell will pay royalty as the man that brought them back to Ogoni land.

This method is not new as it was used in the 90s. We lost all our 15 Leaders and 3000 citizens to this shell war between 1993 and 1995. Ken Saro Wiwa and many prominent Ogoni sons paid the supreme price because of attempts to resist Shell after a total refusal to address the various questions yet to be answered even today.

Are we going to fold our hands and watch it happen again in Ogoni nation of Biafra land? Ogoniland have suffered much in the hand of environmental degradation, political marginalization and economic exclusion. Shall they continue to also be killed physically by their hired gun men and suffocate under a tensed atmosphere of fear apart from the fact that cancer and other related environmentally related ailments sends our people to the grave in great numbers on a daily basis.

HYPREP cannot even agree to provide drinkable water or start the livelihood programme designed in the UNEP report to provide short-medium term activities for Ogoni teaming youths who are jobless and presently misguided to the extent of being tools in the hands of their own enemies killing their very brothers and sisters, fathers and Mothers.

I call on all Ogoni Leaders, Rivers men of good will, Niger Deltans, Biafrans all over the world to come to their aid. There is need for food, shelter, clothing, trainings, awareness campaigns from local and international organizations.

Friends of Ogoni, we call on you to rise to their aid again, Green Peace, UNPO, United Nation, Common Wealth, UNESCO. G8, the Western and developed world, please protect them again.

It is true that the Executive Governor of Rivers State Chief Nyesom E. Wike has done his best for the Police and other Security outfits but you must be reminded that the Security Chiefs here takes instruction from Abuja and not brick house. Hence the killing has continued unabated. They have even legalized by the backing of the Presidential directive for oil resumption with a court judgement obtained or bought by Shell.

Mazi Nnamdi KANU please, you can demystify this imbroglio and safe Ogoni from another pogrom. Remember, it is time to show Ogoni love again. May, that is why they never allowed you to visit Ogoni land.

Please help Biafrans in Ogoniland.
