THE PATIENCE OF THE STRONG

0

Patient according to English Dictionary is; content to wait if necessary; not losing one's temper while waiting; not bothered with having to wait; not unwilling to wait, while patience on its part is the quality of being patient. Patience is one virtue we really need immensely, especially now we are almost at the last lap of our struggle to liberate our land and free our people from over one hundred years of slavery from Britain and her Northern Caliphate of Nigeria. It is not always easy to possess this virtue, many people find it difficult to wait and allow things to be done by following due process, be it as it may, it pays to have patience.

As a good hunter waits patiently in the forest in the dead of the night, just before the arrival of his catch or prey, he is bedevilled by some distractions, in most cases they appear inform of flies: black flies, bees, tsetse flies, moth, and butterflies. These are the signs that a big prey is coming close to his direction. He is to endure the hovering of these insects on his head, eyes, ear and nose. It’s quite irritating, once he claps his hands or slaps himself in an attempt to kill or scare away the insects, that pray will sense danger and runs back to its hiding. That means the hunter had waited in vain as he may finally go back in the morning without any catch. That is effort in futility. But if he endures all these distractions, the prey will finally pass through his direction and at this time, one shot from his gun or arrow will get the prey down. It is always natural that these distracting insects precede the coming of big wild animals.

This is the case of Biafrans living in Nigeria, many of us could not wait any longer for Biafra to be restored. Many are already suggesting we tow the line of arms struggle as if they have enough weapons to levy war on Nigeria and her allies. They lack the patience of the strong. Biafra is coming and she is coming with so many distractions namely; the activities of saboteurs ,the Nigeria Media lies against the members of IPOB and Biafrans, the scam called Igbo presidency, the scam called restructuring and  the criminal silence of main stream Media; BBC, CNN, VOA etc on the plight of Biafrans, the clamp down on any person with Biafra flag and other insignia, the unprovoked killing of Biafrans by Fulani herdsmen, Police and Military, the harsh economic policies targeted on Biafrans by the Federal and some states government in Nigeria.

All these are enough to cause us to lose our cool, but we must continue. We cannot begin to celebrate now the success we have achieved through nonviolence agitation. Even when they tagged us terrorists, the international communities automatically became our witnesses to attest to the fact that we are the best nonviolence freedom fighters globally. Even if we pick up arms tomorrow to defend our land, humanity will bear us witness that we are peaceful and we have right to defend ourselves. Thanks to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of IPOB.

Even as we wait patiently for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra, encourage one another and remember to be your brother's keeper. Verify any news about Biafra and IPOB before you begin to share it. Confirm all your news and information about Biafra agitation from Radio Biafra London Facebook page. So many fake news bloggers have risen after being paid by enemies of Biafra to scuttle our struggle, by dishing out lies against IPOB so that we may lose the support we are already enjoying from international communities, but they all must fail.

These are the distracting insects but we must surely overcome them. That is the patience of the strong
