ADMINISTRATIVE LACUNA

April 24 2020 | The Biafra Restoration Voice

Nigeria; a country created by the long nose pliers; the British imperialist, using Fredrick Lugard in 1914 for sole reason of protecting the economic interest of the almighty Great Britain as she is fondly called, and in all fairness, they deserve that tittle, when you bring into account that Britain colonized United States of America, China, South Africa, India etc.

These nations mentioned above, after they got their independence, decided to organise themselves and fashioned out the kind of future they wanted for their people. But Nigeria's case was quite different.

In 1956 when Hon. Anthony Enahoro submitted a bill on floor of the national house of Assembly well supported by the whole Southern Nigeria, for an independent Nigeria and to bring an end to the white colonial rule, there was this breach of trust and disappointment as their neighbours from the Northern part of Nigeria sang a discordant tune in unison opposing the bill for an independent Nigeria with the reason that the entire Country was not ready for independence.

This made the British to find a beloved willy nelly son in the Northern Nigeria. So, it was not a surprise to political analysts, when the British bypassed, the Enahoros, the Akintolas, the Azikiwes, the Awolowos, the Nwafor Orizus, the Mbonu Ojikes who were well educated, and handed over power to the Gambaris; the Abubakars, the Ahmadu Bellos, the same people who rejected the western education of the British and their Christian Religion. This was the genesis of the faulty foundation of Nigeria which inarguably was built on sand.

The trending news on all social media platforms globally is the issue of the identity crisis of the main  occupant of Aso Rock , in a world ravaged by a virus; CORONA virus, every country and nation  in the world on daily basis find succour on the soothing words of their president as he provides leadership out of this great scourge, but Nigeria president is nowhere to be found, after few appearances in recorded few minutes video clips,  the President of the most populous black country disappeared, only to seen on Photoshop images on the pages of the newspapers. Even the death of his chief of staff, the death of his ADC, the death of over 150 people in Kano state and the terrorist attack in his state Katsina were not serious issues enough for him to address the country in live Presidential media chat as was obtainable in other countries.

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is also missing in action. And that brings to reminisce my questions which I believe are the same questions in the minds of many honest people. living in this geographical entity called Nigeria.

Where is Muhammadu Buhari; the president of Nigeria? Where is Yomi Osinbajo; the Vice President of Nigeria? Those who voted these people into the highest elective positions in Nigeria deserve to know their where about. Enough of these Abba Kyari, Babagana Kingibe, Ali Monguno, Malam Daura, Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu etc. These were not the people Nigerians voted for, their names were not on ballot papers, they are mere political appointees and their services should be felt more than they are seen and heard. The absence of the President has caused a lot of damage to the reputation of anyone living in the contraption; Nigerian, it has also destroyed our economy and the people will finally bear the brunt in due time.

In the Holy scripture, Judges 21:25 it says "In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes." This short verse captured in reality the position of things in the seat of power in Nigeria. Here are questions to ponder.

How can Muhammadu Buhari an anti-corruption Czar keep quiet after he was told that the accountant General office was gutted by fire as people were still questioning the modus operandi applied in the distribution of palliative and cash donations meant for the vulnerable in the society due to the effect of the CORONA virus epidemics?

How can the Cooperate Affairs Commission office be gutted with fire when Nigerians are locked down in their houses because of CORONA virus, and a no nonsense General; Muhammadu Buhari and a born-again Christian, Yemi Osinbajo could not issue an official statement in respect to this international embarrassment.?

How can the Central Bank of Nigeria in Plateau state be gutted by fire few days after the Accountant General office was destroyed by fire even as federal civil service worker are locked down in their houses, without an anti-corruption crusader like Muhammadu Buhari calling for the arrest and prosecution of those security personnel guarding the Central Bank of Nigeria in Plateau state?

Please, the president Muhammadu Buhari we know; a retired General a no-nonsense man cannot see these things and remain mute. The call for the President to Address the country did not start today and many people are coming to the conclusion that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of IPOB may be right, by insisting that Muhammadu Buhari died in the year 2017 and is being replaced by a masked man with the name Jubril Al Sudani. I was even disappointed that Nigeria is not taking the matter up, at least to prove the masses wrong that Baba is alive. Why are they not suing Mazi Nnamdi to court or arrest him Interpol, since he is not in Nigeria?

with just a presidential media chat, the type Buhari will prove his enemies wrong very simple. Olusegun Obasanjo did the same thing when his death was rumoured. He came out openly and said " I dey kampe" Meaning, I am alive hale and hearty.

This is even serious with the increased rate of terrorists’ attack in our communities it will not take a general in the military to flush out terrorism completely from his country.

The only option left now is for the people to rise up and protect their land and their lives as there appear to be a Lacuna in the leadership of Nigeria. Time to hold your elected officers accountable as to the meaning of all these burning of public properties without anyone being arrested. It is now time to do away with this British creation called Nigeria since the so-called leaders are seeing the burning of public properties of governance without calling for arrest of anyone, that goes to justify the claims by some people that they; the pubic officers are responsible for the burning of these properties because they want to destroy any document that can expose their looting spree.

All the national dailies are silent and this are dangerous trend. No more investigative journalism in Nigeria, a journalist will be in his or her bedroom, after reading a post about the killing of villagers in the rural communities with videos clips and gory pictures from the eye witnesses, from social media, he will start his headlines with "The terrorist allegedly invaded a rural community." Is it not his duty as a journalist to go out and investigate the news before going to the printing press?

Nigerians are yet to receive an investigative report as to what really led to the Lagos and Ondo state explosions where many people lost their lives and many properties worth Billions of Naira destroyed.

All these signs show that Nigeria is living on a life support machine, the time to dismantle the Lugardian creation and go to our respective nations, the way we were before the British came, is now.
