THE DAYS OF BRUTUS: PART 1

0

November 29 2020 | The Biafra Restoration Voice

For those who are conversant with William Shakespeare's classic; "Julius Caesar." I know most of you still remember what transpired that day in "Capitol." When the Great Julius Caesar was stabbed at his back by Casca, he staggered to embrace Brutus his closest friend to assist him from falling, at least to lean on him, the same Brutus who was the closest friend of Caesar stabbed him and Caesar wailed "Et tu, Brute? meaning " And you too Brutus?" That was the last words of the Great Julius Caesar before he joined his ancestors.

I purposely chose this caption or title because of what came out of the mouth of someone we respect so much because of his loyalty to the restoration project of Biafra and the leadership of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Mazi Uche Mefor threatened to cut IPOB and her leadership so deep. I don't know how or what he meant by that but men like that will always try to stand by their word to fulfil it, even if it means being stupid or try being a bootlicker to the same people that has subjugated their people, in as much as it will enable him cut his master so deep and treat his own responsibilities with reckless abandon.

Leaders are exceptional people and Elohim is the one that appoints people in leadership positions.

Unfortunately, so many people only see the comfort, the splendour and the glory that is attached to leadership without seeing the hard work, the sacrifice and the hardship that a leader has to endure in order to carry out his duty diligently.

In describing the nature of our leader, Mazi Uche Mefor in one his broadcasts made us to know that the Director of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu sold his property in London without him Uche Mefor knowing. Director will always drive him home after every radio programme, while Director will sleep in his car. This went on for over six months without Uche Mefor knowing, until the day he saw, some bedding inside the booth of Director’s car, that was the day he knew that Director sold his house in London so that he can be paying for the subscription of the Radio Biafra, transmitting on Short Wave Frequency. He put his life to danger to make sure the message of Biafra is heard globally. That is the quality of a leader, according Uche Mefor our Director is more than a human being.

In the feud between Uche Mefor and the leadership of IPOB, did you hear any statement from our Leader? No. What do want him to say? According to an Igbo adage: "The one that matched on the snake is the one shouting, while the snake kept mute even as a victim". Now let's examine the thesis of this modern-day Brutus for stabbing Caesar.

IMPOSITION OF RELIGION: I am an IPOB family member under oath. Religion has never been an issue of discussion in any of our family meetings. We have Catholics, Anglicans, Pentecostals, Baptists, Messianic and Orthodox Jews. Director Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has never forced any religion on any member. I think Mazi Uche Mefor is the one who is trying to stop our Director from enjoying his freedom of worship. Mazi Uche Mefor is a Catholic and yet the Director chose him to be his deputy, and I know he is still a Catholic. That goes to show, that Director believes in Freedom of worship.

COMMAND AND CONTROL: Mazi Uche Mefor made us to know that Command and Control is what is keeping the Administration of IPOB intact as a freedom fighting outfit, and it has instilled discipline in the organisation. As Deputy, he used it to discipline ailing members of IPOB including Principal Officers. Why is he now going against Command and Control? There is something he is not telling us. And I expect him to come out clean on this issue. He resigned from being the Deputy, but he is still an IPOB member.

IPOB COMMUNITY RADIO: He complained about opening of IPOB Community Radio without his knowledge. Even a blind man in the Street knows the problem we encounter with Facebook streaming of Radio Biafra London signal during our Director's broadcast. Now when Mazi Uche Mefor heard about the new App, did he contact his Boss? If he didn't then he has been nursing a bad feeling against him and that alone shows his incompetence as a leader. Before now, I have worked in public and private organisations, as a subordinate, you are expected to furnish your Boss with necessary information to help him make the right decisions at appropriate time. So Uche Mefor goofed on that issue.

IPOB AN ALL-OUT IGBO CONFIGURATION: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has extended the struggle to our brothers in Kogi State and Edo state. Mazi recognises every clan in Biafra land. Mazi has even gone beyond Biafra land to talk about the freedom of Oduduwa and other ethnic nationalities in Northern Nigeria. Was there any time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu denied anybody appointment on the basis of his or her ethnicity? We have IPOB almost all the communities within and outside Biafra land, I charge Uche Mefor to come up with evidence to substantiate his claims, since he could not resolve the matter internally with his position as the Deputy leader of IPOB but has gone public, let him finish up what he started. Please Mefor go ahead and spill the beans, this cheap publicity you are enjoying now will not last forever. Be a man and "cut IPOB so deep." Expose Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as much as you know him.

MAZI NNAMDI KANU LIED: You accused your Boss of telling lie, what was the lie? That the Radio Biafra London App under your control has been hijacked or sabotaged by enemies of Biafra. Now let's reason and think. Operation thinks; you are in charge of the App, and the App was playing songs while your Boss was broadcasting live. Were you listening to the Broadcast that day to monitor the Audio signal from your App? Did you know that your Boss was live on CHK Band and IPOB Community Radio? When you discovered that App was playing a different signal as the manager, what did you do? Are saying you cannot sync the two Apps to work together? Why did you not shut down the App and even leave a note to inform the subscribers to login to IPOB Community Radio? If you are the one broadcasting live and callers put an emergency call to inform you of the disparity in the signal from your platforms, what will be your response in such situation as precarious as the day of Lekki shooting?

I am an elderly person, all the issues highlighted here were issued raised by Uche Mefor himself, I read his posts, I watched his Zoom interview, I don't hate Uche Mefor, but he stabbed his boss “Et tu Brute."

Without mincing words Mazi Uche Mefor reminds me of Brutus in William Shakespeare classic; Julius Caesar".

#I stand with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
